About this role

The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing the Community and Economic Participation Framework. This is a full-time position with opportunities to improve coordination of government services and develop solutions to local and regional issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and implementation of the Community and Economic Participation Framework;
  • Improve coordination of government services;
  • Develop solutions to local and regional issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;
  • Travel regularly to communities in Normanton, Burke Town and Bidunggu;
  • Nominate a cultural referee as part of the application process.

Requirements

  • Criminal history check;
  • Serious discipline history check;
  • Open class 'C' drivers license;
  • Current Blue Card.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person due to genuine occupational requirement.
