Role Overview

This role is a vital part of our team, as you will be responsible for creating positive pathways for young people and making a real impact in the community.

You will work with students and their families to address the barriers to school attendance and improve education engagement.

  • Identify students at risk of disengaging from education and develop plans to support them.
  • Work with families to identify barriers to school attendance and facilitate re-engagement.
  • Connect young people and families to school and/or community based supports where individual needs are identified.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team, who demonstrates initiative and has experience working with vulnerable children and young people. The ideal candidate will have strength in building and sustaining positive working relationships and the skills necessary to reconnect young people and families with education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve school engagement and reduce barriers to attendance.
  • Work with schools and community organizations to provide support to young people and their families.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting young people.
