Senior Project Officer - Indigenous Community Engagement
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to manage the development and implementation of community engagement initiatives that support policy and program outcomes, improve coordination of government services, and develop solutions to local and regional issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote participation and inclusion of Indigenous communities in government services and programs.
- Manage relationships with Indigenous stakeholders, including community leaders, organizations, and other key partners.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and program decisions that impact Indigenous communities.
- Collaborate with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and delivery of services to Indigenous communities.
- Degree in a relevant field such as community development, indigenous studies, or public administration.
- Proven experience in community engagement, project management, and stakeholder relations.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
