Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Child and Youth Mental Health Occupational Therapist to lead our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to young people with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans, as well as providing clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in community mental health services, particularly with children and adolescents. They will possess excellent assessment and intervention skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, and other service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for young people with complex mental health needs
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and programs
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C)
  • Experience working in community mental health services, particularly with children and adolescents
  • Excellent assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, and other service providers
