We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Western Sydney.
About the Role:- Deliver expert, compassionate care through comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention for young people with complex mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments for IDD, ADHD, SLD and ASD in complex cases.
- Provide tailored neuropsychological evaluations and evidence-based interventions.
- Lead cognitive remediation programs and deliver group and individual treatments.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, schools, and community services to support young people's recovery journeys.
The successful candidate will work with children and young people aged 12-24 who present with moderate to severe mental health and neurodevelopmental challenges. A strong clinical background in child, adolescent and youth settings is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and provide diagnoses for young people with complex mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, including cognitive remediation programs and evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, schools, and community services to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes for young people.
- Provide clinical supervision to students and upskill colleagues in neuropsychological assessment and intervention.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
An accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and full registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA and endorsement in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology, or eligibility to progress to endorsement, is required. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated skills and clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment, interpretation and report writing in child, adolescent and youth settings, including working with children/families who present with moderate to severe emotional and behavioural problems.
Selection Criteria:- Demonstrated skills in evidence-based interventions and cognitive remediation treatments in children, adolescents and youth presenting with complex mental health issues.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with other service providers to achieve optimal outcomes for children, young people and families.
