Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The role offers an opportunity to gain exposure in both tax compliance and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and lodging BAS on a monthly and quarterly basis, assisting with income tax calculations and year-end tax returns, and supporting year-end accounting processes in line with tax requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lodge BAS on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Assist with income tax calculations and year-end tax returns
  • Support year-end accounting processes in line with tax requirements
  • Review compliance work and provide accounting advice to the wider organisation
  • Support the preparation of annual and half-year statutory reports
  • Evaluate accuracy and compliance across all reporting requirements

About You

  • CA/CPA qualification with relevant experience in tax and financial accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
  • Previous experience in large corporate or property environments is desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
