About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team at Ezzura Tax Advisory, based in Fremantle, WA. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow their career in tax and accounting, with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn, improve, and contribute to our clients' success. You'll work with a diverse client base, providing hands-on support in accounting and tax compliance, with plenty of opportunity for development and progression.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, small businesses, corporate entities and self-managed superannuation funds
  • Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding assessments, audits, lodgements, and other tax matters
  • Providing clients with accurate and timely bookkeeping support, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and payroll.
  • Advising clients on the tax implications of business transactions and investment decisions
  • Conducting in-depth tax planning and optimisation to minimise tax liabilities for clients
  • Conducting tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience as a tax accountant in a public accounting firm or tax advisory practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations
  • High level of professional integrity, responsibility and work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and client relationship management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet tight deadlines
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a genuine commitment to continuous professional and personal growth
  • A collaborative team player who takes pride in producing quality work and contributing to a supportive workplace culture
