About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our vibrant school community at St Joseph's Catholic School, Mount Isa. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing as soon as practicable, which will go for the remainder of the 2024 school year and ongoing through 2025 onwards.

This role may include some classroom teaching/internal relief across Prep to Year 6. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality education to students, meeting the needs of diverse learners
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating contemporary pedagogy and technology
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive community
Requirements
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
