Primary Curriculum and Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Teacher with specialist knowledge in Mathematics and curriculum design to join our team as a Principal Consultant Primary Curriculum and Assessment.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will be responsible for developing and reviewing curriculum and assessment support materials for the primary years of schooling, monitoring and reviewing the implementation of curriculum initiatives, and providing verbal and written curriculum support to schools.
They will also be responsible for drafting high-level advice, correspondence, and briefings for the Minister, the Board, and other stakeholders, as well as organizing and facilitating seminars, school visits, and information sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and review curriculum and assessment support materials for the primary years of schooling
- Monitor and review the implementation of curriculum initiatives, standards, projects, and programs
- Provide verbal and written curriculum support to schools
- Draft high-level advice, correspondence, and briefings for the Minister, the Board, and other stakeholders
- Organize and facilitate seminars, school visits, and information sessions
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized qualification in teaching, be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia, and hold a current Working with Children Check.
You will also need to have a strong background in Mathematics curriculum and assessment design, as well as experience in project and program management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
