Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Planner to lead our underground mine operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to utilize their expertise in strategic planning, technical knowledge, and leadership skills to drive growth and success.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive mine planning strategies that align with our business objectives. This includes producing detailed underground mine designs and schedules, as well as integrating and optimizing our mining operations across multiple methods.

You will leverage your industry experience and expertise to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, and overall performance.

This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence diverse groups and stakeholders within our organization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mine planning strategies to support business growth and optimize long-term value.
  • Produce detailed underground mine designs and schedules across multiple mining methods.
  • Lead the integration and optimization of our mining operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, enhancing safety, productivity, and overall performance.
  • Leverage industry connections and expertise to bring new technologies and ways of working to our business.

Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in underground mine planning and operations, with a proven track record of success.
  • Expertise in underground hard rock mining methods, including caving methods.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
  • Deep technical knowledge of mine planning, with the ability to integrate with other technical disciplines.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience delivering studies through to operations readiness and execution.
