We are seeking an experienced Underground Mining Team Leader to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals, including mining engineers, geologists, surveyors, and ventilation officers.

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across mine planning, geology, survey, ventilation, and other technical functions.
  • Oversee the preparation of mine plans, schedules, and designs to achieve production and business targets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong technical background in underground mining, with a balance of operational experience and strategic vision.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in underground hard rock mining (preferably base metals).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical services teams.
  • Strong knowledge of mine planning, design, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
