Job Title: APS6 Fraud Investigator

The position of APS6 Fraud Investigator involves providing expert technical support and advice in relation to complex problems.

  • Conducts investigations into fraud-related matters using a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent.
  • Coordinates interviews, prepares statements and affidavits, collects and manages evidential material and confidential information.
  • Prepares cases and briefs of evidence for referral to relevant parties.
  • Provides expert testimony in criminal and civil court proceedings.
  • Analyzes and interprets data to produce accurate and informative reports.

Key skills required:

  • Utilizes a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or its equivalent to conduct complex investigations.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in conducting formal and informal discussions with partner agencies.

Desirable skills:

  • Expertise in providing evidence in criminal and/or civil court proceedings.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
