**About the Branch**:
The Integrity Branch is a new branch within the Grants Delivery and Business Services division. The branch is comprised of the Risk and Integrity Strategy, Fraud and Anti-Corruption, Protective Security, Business Improvement and Change, and Probity sections. The branch is focused on influencing and enhancing the department's integrity culture to ensure the department is trusted by both the Australian public and Government.

**About the team**:
The Fraud and Anti-Corruption Team is responsible for preventing, detecting, and investigating internal and external fraud related to the department. The team also provides anti-corruption services/advice and is a key liaison point for the department in relation to the National Anti-Corruption Commission. The team is a small but cohesive unit of qualified and highly skilled officers who are passionate about what they do.

- can make balanced and ethical decisions using professional judgement, evaluate ambiguous and incomplete information, and appropriately factor in fraud/corruption risks

- has personal drive and motivates others to deliver exceptional service
- brings a continuous improvement approach to the team's work program.

**What you will do**:
The role is a key leadership position, and you will drive the following across the team:

- Set and manage the Fraud and Anti-Corruption Control Team's work program to ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Fraud Control Framework under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
- Work effectively with stakeholders across the department to drive fraud and corruption prevention, including outreach, communication and awareness raising.
- Lead a departmental integrity working group.
- Provide advice and support the department's mandatory referral obligations to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
- Improve departmental understanding and commitment to the fraud and corruption risk assessment process, link business areas to fraud prevention and detection activities, including encouraging and supporting stakeholders to actively engage with the fraud and anti-corruption team.
- Clearly communicate fraud and corruption risk assessment outcomes across the department.
- Collaborate with strategic partners across the Commonwealth, including committees, working groups and taskforces to share capability, information, and intelligence to prevent and disrupt fraud.
- Manage receipt and evaluation of fraud and corruption allegations, provide fraud control advice, and oversee criminal investigations in line with statutory requirements and the Australian Government Investigation Standards.
- Harness new and emerging best practices to continue to mature the approach to fraud and corruption detection across the department.

**Eligibility**:
It is a mandatory requirement to have a Diploma of Government Investigations (or equivalent) for this role.
