About the RoleThe National Manager, Fraud Investigation will lead investigations into cases of fraud relating to Medicare, Child Support and welfare programs.
This role involves detecting and investigating fraud and related crime, working closely with other agencies to respond quickly to these threats.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, sound judgement, strong customer focus and ability to engender respect and trust.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Lead investigations into cases of fraud relating to Medicare, Child Support and welfare programs
- Detect and investigate fraud and related crime
- Work closely with other agencies to respond quickly to emerging issues
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and disrupt fraud
- Monitor mechanisms for individuals of interest and undertake analysis of information received
Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders are crucial for success in this position.
The Branch has a team of skilled specialists who work closely together to address emerging issues.
The National Manager, Fraud Investigation will play a key role in protecting the integrity of government payments administered by Services Australia.
Requirements- Australian citizenship
- Pre-employment screening process clearance
- Australian Government security clearance (arranged for successful applicants)
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (highly desirable)
