Operations Manager 2IC Position Summary

A leading operations role has become available in a dynamic timber building supply company. The Operations Manager 2IC will be responsible for driving initiatives, ensuring compliance, and managing the efficient production and distribution of quality products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in process improvement, system optimization, and integrity, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, and quality across diverse teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Monitor safety statistics and ensure adherence to reporting standards
  • Oversee stock management to prevent deterioration and minimize customer rejections
  • Ensure effective preventative maintenance and address defects promptly
  • C coordinate logistics for DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain or equivalent experience in the timber industry
  • Background in working with timber products such as EWP, truss and frame, architectural timber products, or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated expertise in production management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution
  • Able to operate independently with a passion for driving growth and innovation
  • Strong cultural fit with family-oriented values
  • Ability to take ownership of business operations and decisions
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the business
