We are seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our EHS function for Siemens Mobility Australia and New Zealand.

Job Overview

This role will be responsible for defining and implementing superior EHS standards, principles, and guidelines across our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective management of EHS-related risks and compliance with local legal requirements and industry standards.

As an EHS Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement EHS management systems, policies, and procedures
  • Manage budgets and resources to support EHS initiatives and programs
  • Lead and coordinate EHS audits and assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide governance and support to manufacturing, maintenance, and project site management
  • Investigate and analyze incidents, report results, and implement corrective actions
Your Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in EHS management in high-risk construction environments, preferably in the rail industry
  • Knowledge of rail industry worker and rail safety principles
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a process-oriented approach
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Certification with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety or relevant certifications
About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Australia/New Zealand. The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000 - $180,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.
