About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our client's onsite manufacturing leadership team. As the newly created EHS Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership on all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment across the Australian business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide WHS advice and technical support to drive a positive impact on the business
- Establish, develop, and implement policies and procedures for safety and risk management
- Manage compliance to AS/NZS4801 and ISO14001 standards
- Develop and initiate safety programs to promote a safe working environment
- Oversight of environmental compliance, improvement, and reporting
- Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in a HSE discipline, such as Cert IV WHS, Diploma, or a technical qualification
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar safety and compliance role, preferably within a manufacturing or technical service environment
- Commercial acumen and a big-picture understanding of the EHS function's role within an organisation
- Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, emerging issues, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full Australian working rights and the ability to work based in metropolitan Sydney

Estimated Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum
