Key Initiative Lead – Transformation and Change Management

We are seeking an experienced Key Initiative Lead to drive a critical transformation and change management program. This program involves the upgrade of existing systems, migration to new platforms, and broader technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide overall direction and governance for the program, ensuring alignment to organisational strategy. They will coordinate interdependent projects, ensure successful delivery across the program lifecycle, and oversee the development of business cases and financial models.

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure programme benefits are clearly defined, tracked, and realised.
  • Lead engagement with solution vendors, system integrators, and service providers to ensure delivery against agreed outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with senior executives, IT, and business leaders. Provide regular updates to steering committees and governance forums.
  • Establish programme governance structures, manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure compliance with organisational frameworks.
  • Oversee programme budgets, monitor costs, and ensure optimal use of resources.
About You:
  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager leading complex HR/payroll system transformation initiatives.
  • Strong track record in delivering multi-project programmes with significant business and technology impact.
  • Expertise in governance, programme planning, and executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors and external delivery partners.
  • Familiarity with current technologies and systems (highly desirable).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in business case development and benefits tracking.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Hybrid work model – ability to work from home 3 days per week.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Brisbane as required.
