We are seeking a skilled School Crossing Supervisor to join our team at Manningham City Council. As a vital part of our community, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians at established crossings and traffic lights.

About the Role

School Crossing Supervisors work closely with school children and other pedestrians, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to navigate through busy roads. Your ability to effectively communicate and provide clear instructions will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist school children and other pedestrians at established crossings and traffic lights
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure safe passage
  • Lift, utilise, and operate safety equipment as required
  • Ensure visibility for motorists and pedestrians at all times
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role or experience in traffic safety or working with children highly regarded
  • Ability to effectively lift and move safety equipment
  • Good judgement and road sense
  • Competent understanding and ability to follow Safe Work Procedures
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
