About the Role
School Crossing Supervisors play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community. During school terms, they are responsible for assisting school children and other pedestrians at established children's crossings and traffic lights.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist school children and other pedestrians at established children's crossings and traffic lights
- Ensure the safety of our community by effectively managing traffic and pedestrian flow
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools and community groups
- Contribute to the development and implementation of traffic safety initiatives
Requirements
- Experience in traffic safety or working with children is highly regarded
- Ability to effectively lift, utilise and operate safety equipment within the defined standards
- Good judgement and road sense, with strong knowledge of the Australian road rules
- Competent understanding and ability to follow Safe Work Procedures to ensure community safety
