About the Role
School crossing supervisors play a vital role in maintaining community safety. During school terms, they assist school children and other pedestrians at designated children's crossings and traffic lights.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist school children and other pedestrians at designated crossings
- Ensure pedestrian safety at all times
- Operate safety equipment and maintain clear visibility for both motorists and pedestrians
Requirements
- Experience in traffic safety or working with children is highly regarded
- Good judgment and road sense, as well as strong knowledge of Australian road rules
- Ability to follow Safe Work Procedures to ensure community safety
- Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to work shifts and get to and from designated crossings
