Pastoral Care Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our community as a Pastoral Care Coordinator.

About the Role
  • Our team member will encourage resident choice and participation in individual and group activities, promoting engagement and social interaction.
  • They will assist in the design, delivery, and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • The successful candidate will implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' families and friends.
  • They will provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting.
  • Additionally, they will provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility, and social support.
  • They will also support their peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit, working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
  • The role requires a safe work environment, where employees protect themselves, their colleagues, and residents by closely following all policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are necessary to build strong relationships with residents and their families.
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar qualifications are required.
  • The ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families is crucial.
  • A reliable team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment is needed.
  • A commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents is vital.
