Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing stakeholder contact and liaison programs, creating and managing a systematic complaints handling process, and understanding and implementing contractual community and stakeholder requirements.

Job Description:

The Community Engagement Specialist will play a key role in supporting our community engagement programs and managing internal and external communications for the project. This includes collaborating with the Project Team to identify and address community concerns and project priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement stakeholder contact and liaison programs to foster trust and reliability.
  • Create and manage a systematic complaints handling process, developing action plans and monitoring outcomes.
  • Understand and implement contractual community and stakeholder requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team to identify and address community concerns and project priorities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in similar roles on large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in engaging with the public on various issues.
  • Excellent writing skills for diverse communication materials.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude.
