Caregiver Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member, your primary goal is to provide high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all clients.
- Support clients in their daily lives, including personal care, grooming, meal preparation, transportation, and medication administration.
- Assist clients in using communication aids and devices, as well as other personal equipment as needed.
- Enable clients to participate in community activities, hobbies, and relationships.
- Advocate for and assist clients, their families, and significant others in accessing community resources.
- Document client progress, update records, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support).
- Strong interpersonal, role-modelling, and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving abilities with an ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Understanding of and commitment to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety.
- Awareness of human rights and challenges facing individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to transport clients across the region, with candidates without a current NSW driver's licence subject to a risk assessment.
- Experience in working with and supporting adults and/or children with complex disabilities.
