Roofing Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking 4 skilled roofing specialists to fill available positions in the Northern Territory, Australia.

About This Role
  • Interpreting technical specifications and blueprints to determine system layouts and required materials.
  • Installing, maintaining, and servicing hot and cold water systems, as well as related equipment.
  • Fabricating and assembling soil and waste stacks, including fabrication of structural steel components.
  • Installing mechanical services plant, ventilation systems, and heating equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Setting up water-based fire protection systems, such as hydrants, hose reels, and sprinklers.
  • Designing, fitting, and maintaining sanitary plumbing, discharge pipes, and fixtures.
  • Constructing and maintaining underground drainage systems and related groundworks.
  • Installing gas appliances, flues, and pressure control devices, adhering to relevant safety protocols.
  • Fabricating, assembling, and installing metal roofing, guttering, downpipes, rainwater goods, and flashings.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Relevant trade qualifications and experience in plumbing or roof plumbing.
  • A strong understanding of plumbing systems and metal roofing installation, including relevant building codes and regulations.
  • The ability to work from technical drawings and specifications, interpreting complex designs and instructions.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship, adhering to relevant industry standards and protocols.
  • A team-oriented mindset with reliability, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
