Woodwork Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Woodwork Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the construction crew, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry tasks.

Your role will involve working closely with the Site Supervisor to ensure all wooden structures and installations meet the highest standards. This includes preparing surfaces, assembling frameworks, and assisting in the timely completion of projects.

Able to work independently, manage projects efficiently, and meet deadlines with precision is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installs wall/ceiling frames, roof trusses, and eaves systems using precision layout tools (e.g., laser levels) and engineered timber/light-gauge steel components.
  • Determines material quantities (timber, steel studs, gypsum), precise dimensions, and installation sequences for carpentry projects.
  • Repairs deteriorated wooden elements (e.g., rot, termite damage) through selective timber replacement and reinforcement techniques.
  • Builds partitions, flooring systems, stairs, and decorative panelling with specialized connectors (nails, screws, brackets).
  • Designs, installs, and dismantles temporary moulds for poured concrete structures.
  • Fits windows, doors, and associated hardware (hinges, handles, locks).
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified carpenter with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Honest, reliable, and a cooperative team player who excels in a collaborative work environment.
