At Kennedy Reid, we are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of injured workers, liaising with internal stakeholders, and making liability decisions on claims.
The Role- Manage a caseload of 50-55 injured workers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to coordinate medical treatment and communicate effectively with claimants.
- Make informed liability decisions on claims, taking into account relevant evidence and stakeholder input.
- Conduct strategic file reviews with internal stakeholders to drive outcomes and improve claim resolution.
- Build lasting relationships with company line managers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Work directly for Kennedy Reid, expanding your skill set within self-insurance.
- Opportunity to gain varied state exposure as a national role.
- Manageable caseload of 50-55 claims, allowing for focused attention and effective resolution.
- Access to onsite medical professionals, including doctors and physiotherapists.
- Opportunity for internal growth and continued learning within the company.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation claims, either in self-insurance or a scheme agent.
- Strong understanding of liability claims and claim resolution processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
