Job Description

The Senior Project Officer will support the development and delivery of strategies and initiatives to address recommendations from inquiries, inquests and reviews relating to watch-houses.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic projects that contribute to business outcomes for the department.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate strategies, policies, standards and guidelines in line with agency requirements.
  • Representing the department on committees and working parties.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing reports, briefing notes, submissions, business cases and correspondence in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Delivering presentations and reports to senior executives and representing the business unit at internal and external forums.
  • Providing high-quality advice on emerging and business improvement issues likely to affect the provision of policing services and developing strategies to deal effectively with these issues.
