About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned National Account Manager to drive the commercial health of our business in Australia. As a pioneer in the market, you will lead the commercial strategy and operations to deliver on annual financial commitments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and targeting key retail and supermarket chains for product distribution, developing strategic sales plans to achieve market penetration and sales growth.
  • Managing end-to-end sales processes, including new customer acquisition, negotiations, contract management, and closing deals to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Liaising with NPD managers to participate in new product development and launch based on customer requirements and insights gathered on the ground.
  • Managing launch and de-list calendars with the site team and customers.
  • Communicating Order Fill and other supply challenges to customers, and following up on discrepancies.
  • Monitoring raw material supply issues and production-related concerns.
  • Conducting weekly pricing maintenance and cross-checking with customers to ensure site pricing accuracy.
  • Reporting sales vs budget weekly, explaining any deviations, and working on other ad hoc weekly/monthly reports for better visibility for key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the Category Head, Commercial & Site teams to manage the P&L, driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Australian market.
  • Championing a demand-driven business model, ensuring alignment and understanding across the value chain.
  • Staying on top of market competition, including frequent visits to supermarkets, retailers, etc.

About You

We are looking for a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and independence, who can adapt to shifting market demands. You will possess a Bachelor's or Honors' Degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in senior commercial roles preferably in FMCG, food retail, or food manufacturing.

You will have a proven track record of selling into supermarkets and retail chains, with an established network within this segment in Australia. You will also possess strong P&L management skills with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

You will be passionate about the food industry and committed to building a successful business in a new market. You will also possess excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
