Job Description

As a Payroll Consultant, your key responsibility will be delivering the fortnightly end-to-end payroll cycle, managing adjustments, periodic reconciliations, and lodgements for payroll tax and superannuation.

Ensuring all employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant Australian laws and company policies is paramount.

Building strong internal partnerships, fostering continuous learning within the payroll team, and driving process-improvement initiatives are critical aspects of this role.

  • Demonstrated experience in Australian payroll processing and administration, ideally within a medium-to-large organisation.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll legislation, Fair Work Act, modern awards, taxation, and superannuation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling explanation of complex payroll concepts in plain language.
  • Experience using SAP, SuccessFactors, EC/ECP preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, desirable.
