Procurement Specialist for Supply Chain Risk Management

This exciting role as Procurement Supplier Compliance Assistant at Programmed offers the perfect opportunity to utilize your expertise in assessing supplier risk and ensuring compliance with modern slavery regulations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week) for 6 months, based in North Sydney with hybrid work-from-home arrangements. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reports to monitor supplier performance, identifying potential risks, and developing due diligence measures to mitigate these risks.

Your primary focus will be on supporting ACU to fulfill its reporting requirements under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and progressing related compliance initiatives. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Procurement and Finance staff, as well as external organizations like Australian Catholic Anti-Slavery Network (ACAN) and Australasian Universities Procurement Network (AUPN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting audits and/or reports to monitor supplier performance and identify potential risks
  • Developing due diligence measures to mitigate identified risks
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Procurement and Finance staff, and external organizations
  • Maintaining records, reports, and information related to supplier compliance

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong numeracy and excel skills
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chains
  • Knowledge/understanding of modern slavery

The ideal candidate will have experience working in procurement and supply chain management, preferably with a background in auditing or risk assessment.

Compensation Package

As a Procurement Supplier Compliance Assistant at Programmed, you can expect a competitive hourly rate equivalent to ACU HEW 5.1. We also offer a hybrid work-from-home arrangement, providing a great work-life balance and flexibility.
