Production Cultivation Associate

Our organization seeks a motivated Production Cultivation Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering various cultivation and horticultural production duties associated with medicinal cannabis crops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of the cultivation life cycle, including cuttings, propagation, transplanting, fertigation & supplementation, maintenance of mother stock, harvesting, plant health management, waste management, pest & disease control, and cultivation/production area cleaning.
  • Contribute to R&D, cultivation, and production events while ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Operate and perform checks and maintenance on specialized machinery, robotics, and equipment within the production environment.
  • Establish and maintain cultivation and production procedures and forms within our Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Complete cultivation documentation/batch files/labelling in line with GDP and participate in document reviews/evaluations.
  • Execute site-specific Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPDM) strategies as directed.
  • Participate in the general upkeep and maintenance of the cultivation facility to maintain the site as clean, tidy, and in good repair.
  • Contribute to process improvement within the cultivation and production environment.
  • Operate and monitor facility fertigation, climate control systems, and other cultivation equipment and systems. Escalate and respond to alarms/faults in line with agreed procedures or instructions.
  • Participate in deviation investigations and report write-up.
  • Operate in compliance with site security policies and OHS and Quality requirements through strict execution of SOPs.
  • Participate in scheduled drug movement events.
  • Participate in procurement and inventory-related activities as directed.
  • Maintain and restock production supplies as directed.
  • Prompt escalation of all cultivation, quality, production, OHS, and security events/issues/deviations and crop health issues.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and other learning activities as directed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary or diploma qualifications in science, agricultural science, production horticulture, or a related field are preferred.
  • Pre-employment security and health screening.
  • Current Victorian drivers' license.
