Join a dynamic team as part of our Graduate Program, gaining valuable experience and skills in horticulture.
This 18-month program offers three rotations across different produce categories at various locations, allowing you to build a solid foundation for a long-term career in the industry.
You will be immersed in our horticulture, agronomy, growing, harvesting, irrigation, and safety and quality teams, working alongside industry-leading professionals. This will provide you with exposure to a variety of produce, climates, conditions, and complexities.
The program is designed to develop your leadership and development skills through structured training and mentorship. You will have access to senior leaders, external facilitators, and former graduates who will guide your coursework and development.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with crop planning, pest and disease management, irrigation, and soil management.
- Set up field trials to test new crop varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, and techniques.
- Monitor crop health and diagnose issues (pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies).
- Collect and analyze data on crop performance and yield.
- Understand product defects and their effects on quality scores.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise harvests.
- Develop and monitor post-harvest techniques to reduce spoilage and maintain freshness.
- Conduct inspections for hygiene, contamination, pesticide residues, and microbial quality.
- Evaluate food products against national and international standards.
- About the Role:
- This role is ideal for graduates from agricultural science, horticulture, agribusiness, business, or science backgrounds with an interest in agriculture.
- You must have a valid driver's license, personal reliable transport, and relevant insurances.
- You are expected to relocate and work in different sites during the program, mostly in regional locations.
