Job Opportunity: Financial Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our organization and contribute to the success of our commercial construction business segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business, reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the General Manager Constructions and the estimating team to develop and implement consistent business processes across various contracting entities and projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and development of internal controls/processes around job estimating, work-in-progress, cost management and progress claims
  • Assistance with tender submission requirements
  • Analysis of job variances and future improvements

Additionally, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Budgeting and forecasting, including preparation of annual 3-way budgets and ongoing forecasts
  • Treasury and working capital management, including weekly cash forecasts and analysis of variations
  • Accounting control and integrity review of data uploaded into our group reporting tool

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in accounting or a related field
  • CA or CPA membership
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role and industry

You will possess superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical skills and the ability to explain variances. Intermediate to advanced Excel and other MS Office skills are also essential.
