Job Description

The role of Financial Manager is a key position within the organization, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to support business growth and development.

  • Financial Management
    • Develop and implement internal controls around job estimating, work-in-progress, cost management, and progress claims to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Assist operational teams with tender submission requirements and help project managers analyse job variances and future improvements to drive decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Prepare annual 3-way budgets (P&L, Cashflow & Balance Sheet) and manage ongoing 3-way forecasts for business units/segments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Treasury & Working Capital Management
    • Prepare weekly cash forecasts and analyse variations in working capital requirements to optimize liquidity and minimize risk.
    • Approve weekly AP payments to ensure timely payment to key suppliers.
  • Month End
    • Ensure accounting control over cut-off deadlines and integrity review of data uploaded into group reporting tools to maintain accurate records.
    • Manage general ledgers of commercial construction entities and process timeliness/accuracy of AP/AR transactions.
    • Review and analyse monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow movements against budget and reforecast as needed.
    • Present financial information to senior management during monthly meetings to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Assist with tax queries, review GST reporting, and help with audit queries related to commercial construction operations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
    • Support construction management in attaining relevant construction certifications.
