Job Overview

Seeking a seasoned leader to drive quarry operations towards sustainable business performance, safety excellence, and long-term growth. As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the development of quarry plans, lead improvement projects, and shape the future of our operations.

This role involves leading key initiatives, influencing strategy, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve operational excellence. You will also be responsible for promoting a culture of Zero Harm, continuous improvement, and Operational Excellence practices across multiple quarries.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager – Quarries in driving operational, financial, and performance outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver quarry development plans for long-term sustainability.
  • Lead key improvement projects to drive consistency and operational excellence.
  • Oversee quarrying assets and capital investment planning with the Asset Manager.
  • Provide support and expertise to Quarry Managers and Supervisors to optimise performance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, community groups, government, and industry associations.
  • Promote a culture of Zero Harm, continuous improvement, OEE, and Operational Excellence practices.
  • Drive business development strategies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Lead people processes including succession planning, mentoring, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and safety remain front of mind across all operations.
