Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Leader to join our team, responsible for driving sustainable business performance, safety leadership, and long-term growth across our quarry operations.

This role involves supporting the General Manager with operational, financial, and performance outcomes, as well as developing and delivering quarry development plans to ensure long-term sustainability.

The Operations Leader will lead and manage key improvement projects to drive consistency and operational excellence, overseeing quarrying assets and capital investment planning in collaboration with the Asset Manager.

Key responsibilities include ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and optimized assets, providing support and expertise to Quarry Managers and Supervisors to optimize performance, building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, community groups, government, and industry associations.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of five years' experience in Quarry Management and/or Operations.

They should possess proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence, as well as strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.

Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and achieving results is essential, along with excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to multiple quarry sites across NSW are also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, engineering, or a related discipline.
