The Azure Global Black Belt (GBB) Apps Innovation Specialist Manager serves as a pivotal leader in our enterprise sales framework. This role involves leading, developing, and managing a high-performing team of Azure App Innovation Specialists to drive revenue opportunities and enhance market presence by executing sales strategies focused on modernizing applications through the Azure platform and creating AI-driven cloud-native solutions.

This position offers flexibility, allowing for up to 75% remote work.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership:
  • Act as a senior sales leader with profound technical knowledge and extensive business acumen, effectively representing the advantages of Microsoft's App Innovation offerings to customers and partners.
  • Assess market dynamics, identify unique business opportunities, and formulate comprehensive sales strategies to inspire team execution.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of technology trends and market forces, building strong relationships with key partners to extend the team's sales and technical capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with Area Sales and Marketing to create a cohesive sales strategy, driving growth for App Innovation and serving as the primary representative for business discussions.
Sales:
  • Guide the sales team to exceed revenue and consumption targets for the Apps Innovation Advanced Workload.
  • Enhance the sales and technical skills of team members to effectively communicate the business outcomes of the Apps Innovation Workload.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration among the sales team and other stakeholders involved in customer engagement.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and forecast in line with operational standards.
  • Drive new business initiatives to meet targets, positively impacting subsidiary scorecard metrics.
  • Ensure a qualified pipeline is established by workload/solution.
People Management:
  • Build a high-performing team by recruiting diverse talent, prioritizing development, and preparing individuals for advancement within the organization.
  • Coach team members with a proactive approach, encouraging early engagement and innovative insights to enhance customer business.
  • Recognize and reward successful teams and individuals within the sales organization.
Customer Focus:
  • Engage directly with CxO-level clients to support teams in identifying and accelerating opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to deliver comprehensive business solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing deal sizes year over year.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure customer intent to utilize cloud services.
Partner Collaboration:
  • Integrate Microsoft solutions with partner offerings, leveraging synergies to expedite and enhance deal-making.
QualificationsRequired:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or business strategy, including global experience leading diverse teams.
Preferred:
  • Certifications in sales methodologies, complex sales training, and consultative selling.
  • Additional training in Enterprise Architecture.
Professional Experience:
  • Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in Enterprise sales and sales management, with a proven ability to inspire and coach diverse teams.
  • Deep understanding of Apps Innovation Advanced Workloads and their business implications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's commercial cloud offerings, including Azure App platform and Dev Tools.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to understand customer needs and provide innovative solutions.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Technical Skills:
  • Passion for cloud application migration and modernization, with experience in scalable architectures and development practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud development platforms and relevant certifications such as Azure Architect or Developer.
