Job Overview

The Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel project is a large-scale infrastructure initiative requiring the coordination of multiple design teams. The Station Design Coordinator will play a crucial role in this process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review shop drawings prepared by subcontractors' designers to ensure compliance with project specifications and local standards.
  • Coordinate with construction and methods teams for timely review and comment on shop drawings.
  • Assist in forecasting shop drawings review by designers and track progress.
  • Follow up on modifications tables during construction and prepare as-built documentation.
  • Provide inputs to track designer's cost based on time and material.
  • Coordinate and interface with other teams within the design team and other departments to address potential conflicts.
  • Identify any changes from the design and propose quantity variations for design manager review.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
  • Experience in detailed design of building and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Sound knowledge of building design and previous experience working in design teams or external consultants required.
  • Knowledge and experience with Autodesk software (Civil 3D, Autocad, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM360).
