Job Description
The Group Engineering Manager is a key leadership role within the District Engineering service, responsible for the daily operation and function of multi-disciplinary group engineering and maintenance services and project works with regards to facility and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations and functions of multi-disciplinary group engineering and maintenance services and project works.
- Oversee facility and asset management, utilities, reporting, compliance, management of contracts and resources.
- Lead minor works projects and interface with redevelopments and projects (internal / external).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Facility Management and/or extensive experience in Facility Management.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to display initiative, strong organizational skills, multitasking, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing work in a high-volume healthcare engineering environment.
- Knowledge and experience in application of building codes, Australian Standards and codes of practice.
- Experience in engineering, maintenance and asset management including personnel/resource management, procurement, tendering and contract management.
- Proficiency with computer-based applications for activity, asset and finance management systems.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in plant and building service activities.
- Experience in electrical (LV/HV), mechanical, hydraulics and building services, with a trade background; and related qualifications in Facility Management.
- Australian C-Class driver's license.
