The role involves assessing cases, preparing documentation in line with legislative requirements to initiate proceedings, evaluating submissions, recommending outcomes and making determinations.
Your Responsibilities- Reviewing evidence briefs and submissions to recommend disciplinary actions.
- Preparing notices to show cause and decisions on disciplinary measures.
- Providing guidance to legal officers and counsel in appeals to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and other courts, including reviewing relevant documents and evidence.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as investigators, inspectors, legal officers, counsel and senior management.
- Supervising and managing a small team of professionals.
- Qualifications in law or policy, or relevant regulatory experience.
- Understanding of investigation strategies, evidence rules and procedural fairness.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and make informed decisions.
