Major Hotels is a leading accommodation provider in Australasia, with over 70 properties across the region and a global portfolio of 560 properties worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.

The successful candidate will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations, lead and supervise sections of the kitchen during service, ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation, assist with stock control, ordering, and menu development, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar, strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food, ability to lead a section and work well under pressure, excellent communication and teamwork skills, flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, and relevant trade qualifications in commercial cookery.
