Intensive Care Specialist
This 6-month intensive care nursing program is designed to equip nurses with the skills and knowledge required to care for critically ill patients in an ICU environment.
The program includes online learning, face-to-face training, and clinical practice under the supervision of experienced ICU preceptors and educators. Participants will engage in study days to enhance their understanding of intensive care and ongoing reflection and assessment to ensure continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have current registration as a nurse, a minimum of 18 months acute nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and alignment with ethical standards of patient care.
Care for patients with post-cardiac and major surgery complications, respiratory failure, neurological conditions, sepsis and renal failure, multiple organ failure, and emergency admissions and transfers in a 16-bed Level 3 ICU.
