About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controller to join our Program delivery team based in our Richmond Office.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of project management baselines, including cost and schedule planning. You will also oversee the establishment and maintenance of control account structures and associated Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM).

The successful candidate will have extensive scheduling and cost experience, as well as a strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles. A tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent is advantageous.

You will work closely with stakeholders both internal and external to BAE Systems to implement business requirements. As a result, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

A current NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and maintenance of Tasking Statement Work Breakdown Structure (TSWBS) and associated WBS Dictionaries.
  • Establishing and maintaining approved cost and schedule Project Management Baselines (PMB), including incorporation of approved baseline changes.
  • Developing and maintaining control account structures and associated Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RAM).
  • Undertaking detailed planning activities, including rolling wave planning and developing Control Account Plans (CAP).
  • Providing monthly reporting activities, capturing actuals, status, Estimates to Complete (ETC), and undertaking detailed variance analysis.
  • Supporting Comprehensive Estimate at Completions (CEAC) activities and providing SME advice to CAMs.
  • Ensuring the correct utilisation of Earned Value Management standards, processes, and systems throughout the project execution lifecycle.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Project Controller.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or COBRA.
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
  • Extensive scheduling and cost experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under time constraints, solve problems, and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Current NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
