The Waste and Resource Recovery team operates under the Environment, Heritage and Resilience department. Their key responsibility is maintaining Council's waste and recycling centres.
About this RoleAs a maintenance worker, you will be responsible for performing general upkeep duties, operating small machinery, maintaining equipment, and clearing outdoor vegetation. Having a medium rigid truck licence to assist with transporting materials is desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all general maintenance duties.
- Operate small machinery and power tools.
- Maintain pumps and outdoor vegetation.
- Assist with transporting materials (medium rigid truck licence is desirable).
- Hold an unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence.
- Desirable: MR Drivers Licence.
- General Construction Induction White Card is mandatory.
- AC/DC, Bobcat licence, chainsaw certification are desirable.
- Proficient in operating small machinery and power tools.
- Sound physical health to perform physically demanding duties.
- Experience in maintenance and/or outdoor operations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Self-motivation and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
- 9-day fortnight.
