This organisation is a publicly listed, clean conversion company with exclusive worldwide patents that converts waste into sustainable, clean energy and high value raw materials. The organisation has spent the past eight years developing its unique waste conversion technologies, and is now on the cusp of delivering large scale commercial solutions, and is poised for significant growth.

They are currently seeking to appoint a Site Operations Manager for their 24/7 manufacturing plant, to lead a team of 28 people, drive operational efficiencies and maximise yields. You will be able to demonstrate operational leadership experience and a track record of facilitating targeted growth through effective resource utilisation/management of plant, equipment and people.

Ideally a qualified Engineer, you will be extremely hands-on and able to demonstrate strong capability in health and safety compliance management, rostering, scheduling, union liaison, enterprise agreements, labour hire contracting, asset utilisation and environmental compliance management.

Reporting to the CEO, this business-critical role will include an exceptional salary package circa $180K.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Lead, coach and mentor a 24/7 operation
- Operational leadership of, and engagement with around 28 permanent staff including 5 direct reports
- Health, Safety, QA & Environmental Compliance
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Project and Change Management
- Optimisation of Asset/Resource utilisation

**What you will bring to the role**
- Ideally a degree in Engineering
- Hands-on approach and "can-do" attitude
- Strong leadership and people skills
- A strong track record in safety, leadership and operational delivery
- Ability to drive cultural change around safety & environment in the workplace
- Strong problem solving skills
- Demonstrated hands on leadership and technical expertise in plant/manufacturing/operations
- Experience managing P&L and Budgets
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring
- The ability to continue to nurture a heavy industrial operation that embraces both safety and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- High degree of motivation and energy
- Compliance/QA management
- Confident stakeholder engagement and management experience at all levels across the wider organisation
- Experience building a high performing operation
- A preference for working in an extremely fast paced environment where flexibility and adaptability is key
