Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Director

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Project Director to oversee end-to-end project delivery for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-profile projects within budget, on time, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery meets our high standards.
  • Lead project teams including Site Managers, Foremen, Contract Administrators, and subcontractors.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Monitor construction progress and resolve issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Coordinate procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Provide leadership in safety, quality, and operational standards across all sites.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, variations, contracts, and progress claims.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial construction sector in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage construction projects valued between $2M–$20M.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS2124, AS4000, D&C etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of project programming tools and construction methodology.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • A results-driven mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, and commercial outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
