Job Role: Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our construction projects from conception to completion. This is a key role within our organization, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of project delivery, including resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Leadership of project teams, comprising site managers, foremen, contract administrators, and subcontractors.
  • Maintenance of strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Development and management of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Monitoring of construction progress, addressing issues promptly to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials in line with project requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Fostering leadership in safety, quality, and operational standards across all sites.
  • Management of project documentation, including RFIs, variations, contracts, and progress claims.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction in Australia, with a track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects valued between $2M–$20M.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS2124, AS4000, D&C etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of project programming tools and construction methodology.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and commercial outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
