Operations Supervisor Job Description

The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in leading a team of associates in shipping and distributing parts across the country, ensuring customer order fulfillment.

  • Lead team members, conduct performance reviews, oversee development, manage attendance, payroll, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with inventory control procedures such as cycle counting for all materials and products.
  • Implement warehouse procedures and service standards aligned with organizational guidelines.
  • Suggest and refine processes to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.

Maintain communication with customers and support teams to ensure accuracy. Assist sales and customer service teams to ensure timely shipments. Evaluate costs and performance of warehouse procedures and service standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage team performance and develop team members through regular coaching and feedback.
  2. Coordinate shipments and deliveries, utilizing software for label creation and scheduling pickups.
  3. Monitor parts preparation, material handling, and packaging equipment.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience, including packing and shipping processes.
  • At least 1 year of team lead or supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
