Job Overview

This is a leadership role that oversees the shipping and distributing of parts across the country and manages customer order fulfillment. The operations supervisor leads a team, conducting performance reviews and overseeing development to ensure high productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervising team members, managing attendance, payroll, and corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory control procedures such as cycle counting for all materials and products.
  • Warehouse Procedures: Implementing warehouse procedures and service standards aligned with organizational guidelines.
  • Process Improvement: Suggesting and refining processes to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Developing performance metrics and auditing operations for efficiency and quality.
  • Packing and Shipping: Overseeing packaging, shipping, and inventory of packaging materials to prevent damage and support operations.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinating shipments and deliveries, utilizing software for label creation and scheduling pickups.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitoring parts preparation, material handling, and packaging equipment.
  • Customer Communication: Maintaining communication with customers and supporting teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Training and Development: Training team members on warehouse vehicle operation, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Evaluating costs and performance of warehouse procedures and service standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience, including packing and shipping processes.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 1 year of team lead or supervisory experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: 6 years of leadership experience in high-volume, multi-shift distribution centers preferred.
  • Software Experience: Experience with Quantum Controls software.
